To add to this, we also have the situation where a Public Holiday will fall on a Saturday.
In this situation either showing the Saturday AM or the whole Saturday as the Holiday colour would be ok.

Hi Tris, just to be sure that I understand you correctly. To summarise, what you brought up for discussion was the half day workday should be shown as such in the Planner, is it?

Yes.
If the planner shows the half day on the Saturday,
then if my team request Friday and Saturday as annual leave, but keep the "session" as "Full Day" it will automatically know that it is actually 1.5 days and the planner will show 1.5 days. This will make the maths and the visuals match.

AL Carried Over:
Can a negative number be allowed for 'carried over'.
The reason, it is allowed for staff to end up with a negative balance and that means they could end the year for example with -1 days. Therefore this negative balance would be their 'carried over' into 2018.
If I change their 'entitlement' it will cause problems because it is prorated.
